Antara contoh soalan-soalan standard yang dah beberapa kali customer Encik 5kosong1 tanya bila diorang nak beli jeans Levi's 501 Shrink to Fit ialah: 

"Saya pakai jeans size 32", kalau nak beli Levi's 501 STF, kena beli size 34" ke? Panjangnya macam mana pulak?"

"Saya dah pakai Levi's 501 sebelum ni. Kalau beli kat butik size 32", nak kena order size yang sama ke kalau nak beli Levi's 501 STF?

Seriuosly, aku rasa lemah setiap kali dapat soalan-soalan macam kat atas kalau ada mana-mana customer tanya. Sebabnya? Kalau suggestion yang aku bagi tu salah, sapa yang nak tanggung. Hehehe... Kalau jeans setakat harga bawah RM 100 ringgit, mungkin takpelah. Tapi harganya lebih dari tu, so tak syok la kan kalau bagi salah suggestion. Untuk memudahkan aku, jawapan yang biasa aku bagi ialah "Size Levi's 501 Shrink To Fit yang patut dibeli bergantung pada cara pemakaian korang, berapa kali kekerapan nak basuh jeans tu, apa eksperimen yang korang dah plan nak buat dengan jeans tu". Jawapan tak semudah just bagitau size yang perlu dibeli sebab kadar shrink boleh berubah bergantung pada cara pemakaian atau berapa kerap korang nak basuh.

Kalau plan tak nak basuh jeans tu langsung, silalah beli jeans macam size yang korang biasa pakai atau ada suggestion lain yang mengatakan beli jeans yang sizenya lebih kecil / kurang satu size berbanding yang korang pakai (disebabkan jeans boleh meregang). Length atau inseam terpulang pada korang, sama ada nak beli yang lebih panjang sikit atau beli saja panjang yang macam biasa.

What's more, the trademark arcuate stitching design was no longer sewn on, but instead painted on by hand. Dye rationing meant that the heavy-duty 10oz red ID line shrink to fitt xx denim used in 1944 was a softer shade of indigo, offset by the one sided Caital E red tab introduced in 1936. The jean was riveted in a mixture of plain and stamped metal, and the LS&Co. logo no longer appeared on the fly buttons. Instead, the waistband button was engraved with a symbol of peace in the form of a laurel leaf. The laurel leaf is widely used to symbolize the triumph of the human spirit.

Levi´s® Vintage Clothing 1915 501 Cone Mills Colab Rigid

 

The story of Cone denim began 1891, when brothers Moses and Ceasar founded Cone Export and Commission Company. By 1905 they established a mill that would become renowned for setting the standard for quality denim. Cone Denim's White Oak mill, named after a 200 year old tree on its grounds, continues to craft the most authentic denims for over a century. Regarded as a stronghold of textile history, White Oak remains an integral resource for its archives and an endless inspiration. In 1915, Cone was approached by LS&CO as a supplier, beginning a long term commitment to one another.

In 1920's, Cone started individualizing LS&CO's denim with Red Selvedge, which is still synonymous with Levi's denim. By 1922, LS&CO exclusively obtained all of its high quality denim from White Oak. Nearly 100 years later, we're still unearthing archival detail about fabrics we developed through our history with Cone. This jean is a celebration, replicating the combination of Cone fabric and fit from 1915. It carries the secrets of a 94 year history within its warp and weft.

Levi's® Vintage Clothing 1947 501 Jeans Rigid

The 1947-501® jean is regarded as the definitive five-pocket jean and the quintessential 501® model. Levi's® jeans had been in short supply during the years of World War II, when several key features were removed to save vital metal and fabric. By 1947, the newly restored 501® jean was in huge demand. 


The stitched arcuate returned to the two back pockets: stitched with a double-needle machine, it now formed a diamond shape at the point where the two lines meet. Original Levi's® zinc buttons also enjoyed a comeback. But the crotch rivet, cinch-back and suspender buttons had been put out to pasture - permanently. Instead, belt loops and concealed copper rivets became standard. 


Made with Red XX Selvage using Cone Mills' deep tone indigo, the color blossoms with age in the purest redcast indigo. The 1947-501® jeans continued the tradition of a big "E" on the (single-stitched) red Tab, plus the Two Horse leather patch.
