Levi's® Vintage Clothing 1944 501 Rough Rinse

During World War II, to comply with wartime rationing requirements, Levi Strauss & Co. simplified the features of the 501. To save metal, fabric and thread for the war effort, the cinch back was removed, along with the watch pocket rivets and crotch rivets. What's more, the trademark arcuate stitching design was no longer sewn on, but instead painted on by hand. Dye rationing meant that the heavy-duty 10oz red ID line shrink to fitt xx denim used in 1944 was a softer shade of indigo, offset by the one sided Caital E red tab introduced in 1936. The jean was riveted in a mixture of plain and stamped metal, and the LS&Co. logo no longer appeared on the fly buttons. Instead, the waistband button was engraved with a symbol of peace in the form of a laurel leaf. The laurel leaf is widely used to symbolize the triumph of the human spirit.

Levi´s® Vintage Clothing 1915 501 Cone Mills Colab Rigid

 

The story of Cone denim began 1891, when brothers Moses and Ceasar founded Cone Export and Commission Company. By 1905 they established a mill that would become renowned for setting the standard for quality denim. Cone Denim's White Oak mill, named after a 200 year old tree on its grounds, continues to craft the most authentic denims for over a century. Regarded as a stronghold of textile history, White Oak remains an integral resource for its archives and an endless inspiration. In 1915, Cone was approached by LS&CO as a supplier, beginning a long term commitment to one another.

In 1920's, Cone started individualizing LS&CO's denim with Red Selvedge, which is still synonymous with Levi's denim. By 1922, LS&CO exclusively obtained all of its high quality denim from White Oak. Nearly 100 years later, we're still unearthing archival detail about fabrics we developed through our history with Cone. This jean is a celebration, replicating the combination of Cone fabric and fit from 1915. It carries the secrets of a 94 year history within its warp and weft.

Levi's® Vintage Clothing 1947 501 Jeans Rigid

The 1947-501® jean is regarded as the definitive five-pocket jean and the quintessential 501® model. Levi's® jeans had been in short supply during the years of World War II, when several key features were removed to save vital metal and fabric. By 1947, the newly restored 501® jean was in huge demand. 


The stitched arcuate returned to the two back pockets: stitched with a double-needle machine, it now formed a diamond shape at the point where the two lines meet. Original Levi's® zinc buttons also enjoyed a comeback. But the crotch rivet, cinch-back and suspender buttons had been put out to pasture - permanently. Instead, belt loops and concealed copper rivets became standard. 


Made with Red XX Selvage using Cone Mills' deep tone indigo, the color blossoms with age in the purest redcast indigo. The 1947-501® jeans continued the tradition of a big "E" on the (single-stitched) red Tab, plus the Two Horse leather patch.

Originally launched as a cheaper alternative to the 501 jeans. It was made from what was perceived at the time to be a lower grade fabric, hence the number 2(01). The characteristic black painted donut suspender buttons, the linen 201 cloth patch and the higher curved Arcuate differentiate these jeans from the 501 jeans at this time.

The 1950's brought a rebellious youth revolution in which icons such as Marlon Brando gave denim, and particular the 501, an iconic status. In the mid 1950's Levi Strauss & Co. became a national phenomenon. In order to make potential consumers comfortable with the company's products, LS&Co. introduced a zipper version of the button fly shrink to fit jeans in 1954: the 501Z. It had everything longtime wearers loved: the silhouette, the tough but flexible fabric, rivets, etc. Retailers carried both the 501 and its zippered brother, the 501Z, and everyone got the pair of Levi's jeans that worked best for them.

Mengembangkan Sayap - Servis Pembelian Brand Lain

Situasi: Korang nak beli jeans brand lain (selain dari Levi's) tapi takde pulak butik / kedai yang jual brand tu dalam Malaysia. Kalau ada pun, saiz atau model yang korang nak tu tak ada pulak... So korang try pulak survey kat Mudah.com atau blog orang lain, sudahnya tak ada jugak. Yang ada cuma dari website tertentu yang korang jumpa kat internet. Duit dah ada, tapi nak beli online sendiri dari oversea tak berapa confident la pulak. Entah macam mana, korang memang tak boleh tidur lena la kalau tak ada jeans tu... Siap makan tak kenyang, mandi tak basah pulak tu... Hehehe... So, apa option lain yang korang yang ada?

Solution: Dah tentu boleh try pertimbangkan servis pembelian yang disediakan 5kosong1.blogspot. Hehehe...

Bukan apa, baru-baru ni ada customer mula bertanya kat aku, "Bro, boleh order jeans brand lain ke?"

Jawapannya ialah: Dah tentu boleh!!! Asalkan korang berikan aku info yang lebih detail dan lagi spesifik. Contohnya, kalau nak beli jeans brand 'XYZ', bagilah info pasal model @ type jeans tu sekali, bukan setakat nama brand je. Kalau ada spesifik link dari website yang tunjukkan pasal jeans tu lagi bagus sebab aku mungkin beli dari link yang korang supply tu atau aku boleh carikan alternativenya.

Tapi, janganlah setakat hantar message, "Bro, carikan jeans 'XYZ' size 32, nanti roger harga sekali kat saya ye". Perh, camana nak mulakan pemburuan jeans tu... Memang boleh, tapi lambatlah sebab banyak ding dong ding dong je sudahnya... Hahaha... Hantarlah message camni, "Bro, tolong bagi harga final dan buat pemburuan terhebat untuk jeans "XYZ" model abc selvage kaler merah saiz 56 satu!" Hahaha...

Tapi, untuk sesetengah keadaan, mungkin akan ada sedikit kesukaran sebab tak semua seller oversea sanggup untuk pos ke Malaysia.Tapi macam manapun, aku akan cuba cari possible solution sampailah memang sampai tahap yang dah tak boleh nak buat apa. Kalau terjadi macam tu, terpaksalah korang terus memendam perasaan je... Hehehe...

So, ini juga bermakna, bukan setakat jeans je korang boleh order, tapi juga kemeja, jaket, t-shirt, seluar atau aksesori yang lainnya. Tapi just keep in mind, syarat-syaratnya dan prosesnya adalah sama macam pembelian jeans Levi's yang aku listkan kat link ni.
